Terms of useThe terms and conditions of use constitute a legal agreement between you and the State Government of Victoria. This agreement incorporates all disclaimers and notices published on the site. Please read this agreement in its entirety before you continue to use this site, order products or download any brandmark or image.
By checking the agreement box when ordering you indicate an agreement to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
This agreement may be amended at any time, effective immediately upon notification on the site, and your continued use of the site will be deemed acceptance of those amendments.
Agreement to these terms and conditions will result in the granting of a one off non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the selected brandmarks and imagery for the permitted purpose as approved by the State Government of Victoria.
Unless otherwise stated in this agreement or agreed in writing by the State Government of Victoria, the permitted purpose is to:
- promote, market, advertise and provide information, but only in a positive manner, in relation to Melbourne, Victoria or the initiatives of the State Government of Victoria; or
- encourage persons to study in Melbourne and Victoria.
The permitted purpose specifically excludes:
- any representation or distortion of the content in a manner which the State Government of Victoria deems to:
- be a mutilation or destruction of the content; or
- represent the State Government of Victoria, the Department of Education, Melbourne, Victoria or studying in Melbourne or Victoria in a negative or disparaging manner; and
- any representation of the content or brandmark in a manner which directly or indirectly implies that the State Government of Victoria:
- has any administrative, financial or marketing obligations in relation to you or your goods and services;
- is in a joint venture agreement or partnership with you; or
- has a relationship with you other than that of independent contractor.
Ownership of site
This site is owned and operated by the State Government of Victoria. All content on this site including photographs, images, illustrations, text, audio clips, video clips and software (referred to as content) is owned by the State Government of Victoria or our licensors. Australian and international copyright laws protect all content on the site.For the protection of the State Government of Victoria and our content providers, images and brandmarks may be watermarked. You must not remove or obscure, or procure or permit any other person to remove or obscure, any copyright notice or other notices contained in the content.
Conditions of use
- All content supplied through this site is owned by the State Government of Victoria or its respective licensors and cannot be on sold to third parties.
- The State Government of Victoria provides the content on the basis of a one off, non-exclusive, non-transferable right for the permitted purpose.
- All copyright requirements must be adhered to. Any unauthorised use or misuse of the content will result in breach of copyright and legal action will be taken.
- All content must be used for the permitted purpose only.
- Content supplied must only be used to for the permitted purpose.
Brandmark and trademarks
The Study Melbourne brandmark is an unregistered trade mark of the State Government of Victoria (registration pending) and cannot be used without its written permission. Correct usage of the Study Melbourne logo is integral to developing and maintaining a consistent brand image and message about Melbourne and Victoria. All instances of the logos must conform to the graphic standards guidelines provided with the logo.

Conditions of use
- The brandmark must be used as provided by the State Government of Victoria and the colours, colour depth or design of the brandmark are not to be changed
- The use of the brandmark is restricted to the permitted purpose only. Future editions or projects will require further application to the State Government of Victoria.
- The brandmark is not to be used for any purpose other than the permitted purpose without the specific written approval of the State Government of Victoria.
Additional conditions for online usage of the brandmark
When using the Melbourne and Victoria brandmark in any web site, you must adhere to the following guidelines in addition to those outlined above.
- No Alteration allowed. The Study Melbourne brandmark must not be animated or altered in any way, except as otherwise agreed by the State Government of Victoria. The brandmark's colour or font should not be changed. The brandmark must not be taken apart, decompiled, changed in proportion, combined with any other words or graphics, or otherwise altered from the version provided by the State Government of Victoria
- Minimum size. The minimum size of the Study Melbourne Victoria brandmark is 100 pixels wide by ratio pixels high (refers to the non-white area of the image). The brandmark may be displayed at a larger size, but all elements of the brandmark must be increased in size proportionately.
- Positive Presentation. Your website must display the Melbourne and Victoria brandmark in a positive manner. The brandmark may not be used to display Melbourne and Victoria in a negative way or in any way that could reflect adversely on the State Government of Victoria.
Revisions and compliance
The State Government of Victoria reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time and to take action against any use that does not conform to these guidelines.
Fees
All content on this site are provided to approved clients free of charge.
